Process name “TFDNoise”

This program does time and frequency domain noise suppression and spectral balancing. It attenuates noise bursts, spikes, air blasts, ocean swell, and other noise. There are several options for analyzing noise including Frequency Variant and Median Frequency. It has the option to output noise only or filtered data.

This tool appears to be much faster than the ProMAX version. It also has new filtering effects that appear to be much better than the original Amoco version. The program can output just the noise to make sure it is not attenuating data as well. You can also generate a file of noisy traces which can be input to Trace Killer based on a tolerance.
